Why OceanFive Records Charges a One‑Time Fee for Its Internship Programs?

OceanFive’s internship programs aren’t structured like traditional unpaid label internships. We function more like industry‑grade training programs, combining education, mentorship, and hands‑on experience. The one‑time fee exists because the program delivers tangible value, structured curriculum, and professional development resources that go far beyond what a standard internship provides.

It’s an Educational Program, Not Free Labor

Most label internships are unpaid because interns are doing administrative work for the company.

OceanFive flips that model.

Our program is built around:

  • Skill‑building modules

  • Case studies

  • Guided assignments

  • Real‑world industry simulations

  • Direct mentorship

  • Portfolio development

This is closer to a certificate‑style training program than a traditional internship, which is why it carries a fee.

Interns Receive Tools, Templates, and Industry Resources

The fee covers the creation and maintenance of:

  • Professional guides

  • Onboarding materials

  • Branding and marketing templates

  • Sync licensing education

  • Artist development frameworks

  • Real‑world label documents and workflows

These are proprietary resources we’ve built over years of experience, not something interns would normally get access to.
